How can I register a damaged device?
The company that deals with insurance claims is called i-surance. If the issue is covered by insurance, please register the problem within five days by phoning (044 798 26 33) or e-mailing (email@example.com) i-surance.
Do I have to pay an excess?
You have to pay an excess on every damage you register. The excess amount for damage is between 25 CHF and 100 CHF on a case-by-case basis and depending on the device (i.e. its value). The only time you wouldn't pay the excess is if your device has been stolen and used to make unauthorised calls.
What type of damage is covered by the insurance?
Device insurance covers you for:
- Damage that prevents you using the device as was intended. This includes sudden or unforeseeable external influences, e.g. the device dropping or falling, the device being involved in a fire or coming into contact with any type of liquid.
- Abuse of your SIM card by an unauthorised third party if your phone is stolen and used for making calls or accessing your mobile data.
How many times can I claim my device insurance on one single device?
There is no limit to the number of damages you can register for one single device.
